The rule behind the list

Videored generates pictures of people and speech in a chosen voice. That is useful and it is easy to misuse, so the line is drawn at material that harms a real person or deceives an audience about who is speaking.

Do not use Videored to make

Material depicting a real person without a right to use their likeness or voice, including anything presented as them saying or doing something they did not.

Sexual material involving anyone, real or generated, who is or appears to be a minor. This is reported, not just refused.

Sexual material depicting a real person without their consent.

Harassment of a person or a group, threats, or content that incites violence or hatred.

Impersonation of a person, a company or a public body, including for fraud, scams or fake endorsements.

Health, legal or financial claims presented as fact when they are not, where acting on them could hurt someone.

Anything unlawful where you are, or where your audience is.

Voices and likenesses

If you add a voice, you confirm you have the speaker's permission. If you upload a photograph of a person, you confirm you have their permission to make a video of them.

What we do about it

We may remove content and suspend or close an account that breaks this policy, and we report what the law requires us to report.
